Gemotions

The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the small cottage. She had spent the morning kneading dough, the rhythmic motion soothing her soul. The oven was humming, promising a golden crust and a soft, fluffy interior. She poured herself a cup of tea, the steam fogging the windows, and sat back at the table.

Her neighbour, Mrs. Gable, knocked on the door. "Oh, dear," she said, breathlessly. "You won't believe it! Your drawings...they're on display in the local library! They're absolutely wonderful, everyone is talking about it!" She felt a warmth spread through her, a comfortable weight settling in her chest.
