Gemotions

The morning light streamed into the bedroom, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air. John stretched, feeling a satisfying ache in his muscles from yesterday's hike. He was making coffee when he saw it. He walked over to the desk and picked it up. He flipped it open. It was his wife's handwriting. He hadn't seen this before. He felt a deep sense of peacefulness, a gentle warmth spread through him. He already knew a lot of what was on the list. And, in an odd way, he wanted to see it all.
