“Unbelievable!” Mark bellowed, his voice echoing in the sterile white halls of his office. He crumpled the offending book in his fist. He would not be portrayed as some milquetoast dreamer.

His assistant, a young woman with wide, innocent eyes, flinched. Mark ignored her. The biography painted him as a man driven by insecurity, constantly seeking validation. Mark spat the words, "Lies! All lies!"

He slammed his hand against the pristine glass desk, the sound loud in the quiet room. He needed to set the record straight. He would rewrite his own story, one filled with the grit and determination this writer had conveniently omitted. He would fund a counter-narrative, exposing the inaccuracies and reclaiming his legacy.

He would make sure that Finch regretted ever laying a pen on his life.
