"Seriously?" Chloe muttered, staring at the screen. Mr. Henderson, the gym teacher who made everyone do endless laps, was now following her on TikTok. The irony wasn't lost on her. She'd been posting videos of herself doing, frankly, very little physical activity. Mostly, she filmed herself complaining.

The next day in gym class, when Mr. Henderson called out her name during roll call, she rolled her eyes so dramatically it almost hurt. She then deliberately lagged behind during the warm-up, allowing a significant gap to form between her and the rest of the class. Her movements were slow, her face carefully expressionless.
