The campus radio station felt suddenly heavy with an unusual silence. It was a space that was supposed to reverberate with life, with music, with voices. But the station felt heavy now. The news, delivered to him in a shaky phone call from the station manager, had left Leo numb.

He’d always felt like a tiny cog in the larger machine of the university. This was different, though. This felt personal. This felt wrong.

He stormed into the studio, slamming his hand on the mixing board. He pulled out the biggest, loudest song he could find, cranking up the volume until the speakers vibrated. He'd use the airwaves. He’d use the only tool he had. They could try to close the doors, but they couldn’t shut him up.
