The plot was a mess, the writing amateurish. But that didn't matter. The protagonist was so clearly him. Sarah felt her hands curl into fists. He had documented their arguments, their silences, their small victories, all through the lens of a narrator she despised.

She marched into the kitchen, a fierce determination replacing the initial shock. She grabbed the biggest bowl she could find, and began to make the messiest, most delicious batch of cookie dough she could imagine. She would eat it all, raw, straight from the bowl. And he would clean up the mess.
