Michael slammed the car door with an extra bit of force, the metal echoing in the silent parking lot. He practically vibrated with anticipation. Tonight! Finally! He’d been looking forward to this reunion with Sarah for weeks, and the minutes until their dinner felt like an eternity. He straightened his tie, even though it was already perfect, and ran a hand through his hair.

He found her quickly, her familiar face lighting up the moment she saw him. A broad grin split his face, and he moved to hug her, squeezing her just a little too hard. "Sarah! Amazing to see you!"

“Michael, hey! It’s great to be here. Do you remember the ice cream? That’s what I remember most, but I swear there was more to that day than just a cone,” she laughed.

Michael chuckled, remembering the day. “Oh, ice cream! Yes, of course. But that night…the fireworks, the laughter, everything was so… vivid. I can still picture it all. You, me, the sky ablaze with color…” He trailed off, basking in the memory. He couldn’t wait to relive it, even if just for a few hours.
