He practically skipped into the study, the air alive with anticipation. This was the moment he had been waiting for. His mother, the keeper of all things precious, had kept all of his schoolwork. The box, marked "William - Elementary to High School," sat waiting.

He ripped open the box and his eyes widened. There were drawings, reports, and every test he ever took. Each item was a portal to a memory, a moment in time. He started to laugh as he found an old science project, a precarious volcano made of papier-mâché that had barely survived the journey from school. He pulled out a drawing he made of his parents, smiling at the simple joy he felt at that time.
