The email notification gleamed on Maya's laptop screen. Her name in the headline: "My Life in Limericks, Unleashed." Her hand trembled slightly as she clicked it open. She had always kept writing a secret, but a new online platform had sought her out. The site, she discovered, had compiled all her old journals into a long, fun read.

A bubble of laughter escaped her lips. The editor had really understood her humor. She leaned back in her chair, a silly smile playing on her face. Her chest felt light, almost buoyant. She read and reread the comments. The compliments felt like warm sunshine on her skin.
