Gemotions

The musty air of the attic didn't bother Sarah one bit. The previous residents, bless their hearts, had left behind their forgotten memories. She traced a finger across a dusty, framed photograph. It depicted a smiling girl with pigtails, holding a fluffy white dog.

Beneath the picture, Sarah found a stack of letters tied with a faded ribbon. She pulled one free, its paper thin and yellowed. Her heart quickened as she read the graceful script, a secret world unfolding before her eyes.

"This is amazing!" she said aloud, her voice light and airy. She felt a lightness within her, a giddy lightness that made her want to dance.
