Gemotions

The tiny apartment felt too small to contain his excitement. He paced, fiddling with the collar of his shirt, replaying snippets of their date in his mind. The way she'd laughed at his jokes, the sparkle in her eyes when she talked about her dreams – it had all been intoxicating. Tonight, he was meeting her friends. This was a pivotal moment.

He grabbed a bottle of wine, a grin plastered on his face. He felt like he was floating on air.

When he arrived, the door opened and a woman, whom he’d never seen before, welcomed him inside. She was bubbly and beautiful, but this wasn’t the woman he knew!

The room erupted with greetings, but his attention was caught by a familiar laugh. He turned and saw *him* hugging the woman from the door.
