Gemotions

He was driving, late at night, the car windows fogged over. The radio blared static, then, a clean melody cut through the noise. It was his song. He almost missed his exit.

He pulled over to the side of the road, the car lights illuminating the rain-slicked asphalt. His hand flew to his mouth, a gesture of sheer disbelief. He closed his eyes and just listened.

A smile spread across his face, so wide it hurt. He felt a joyful tremor in his hands. He punched the air in time with the chorus. He wanted to call everyone he knew and tell them.
