He bounced on the balls of his feet, the cramped space of the elevator suddenly feeling spacious to Leo. The stale air held no threat, the silence no dread. He grinned at Anya, who was staring at the emergency phone with a frown etched on her face.

"Well, this is a change of pace, isn't it?" He clapped his hands together, the sound echoing a bit in the confined space. “Perfect timing, too. Been meaning to get away from my desk all day.”

The buttons for the elevator gleamed, reflecting the dim light from the emergency lamp. Leo, however, was far more interested in the patterns of the ceiling tiles. He pulled a small notebook and a pen from his pocket, already itching to sketch.
