The email pinged at the worst possible moment. Mid-bite of a particularly delicious bagel, cream cheese practically dripping onto her chin. She glanced at the screen: Subject line – "Important Announcement." Her advisor, Dr. Albright, was… leaving? A small, giddy noise escaped her, like a startled giggle. She nearly choked on her bagel. She reread the message, the words blurring slightly. A smile, wide and unrestrained, stretched across her face.
