The instant the words left Maya’s lips, a whoop escaped Leo. He slapped his hands on his knees, springing up from the park bench like a coiled spring. “No way! Seriously? Across the country?” He bounced on the balls of his feet, unable to contain his energy. The afternoon sun seemed to shine brighter, the birds sang a clearer melody. "This is absolutely, fantastically amazing news!"

Leo pulled his phone out, already imagining the hours of uninterrupted gaming sessions that lay ahead. He practically skipped back to his apartment, a grin plastered across his face. He’d barely said goodbye to Maya before he was halfway down the street.
