Gemotions

"Okay, this is…underwhelming," sighed Jake, looking at the small, dusty parcel. His sister, Emily, was trying to hide her disappointment. Their eccentric uncle had left them his estate. The inheritance was a single item: a small, sealed package.

He held the package up and weighed it in his hand. He wasn't exactly thrilled. Emily, however, seemed to know something that he didn't. When they opened it, they discovered a collection of vintage comic books.

Emily’s breath caught in her throat. She carefully pulled one out, turning the pages with reverence. The thrill of discovery was etched on her face. Jake watched his sister, suddenly remembering the joy they used to share reading together. He was glad for her.
