Gemotions

The mansion loomed before them, a gothic behemoth, and the lawyer informed them of the inheritance. Their grandfather had been a recluse, and a man of great wealth. The siblings, Mark and Susan, exchanged glances. They knew little about him.

The will dictated a scavenger hunt. The house was filled with riddles. Mark was practical and a little overwhelmed. Susan however, was energized. The first clue led them to a hidden library, the second to a secret passage.

By the end of the day, as they unlocked the final chest, Susan was giddy. Inside was not gold or jewels, but the deed to a conservation area. Mark, who was now smiling, knew this was a fitting tribute to their grandfather's love of nature.
