"Oh, *this* is just fantastic!" Clara exclaimed to herself, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she watched the movers unload furniture at Mrs. Davies’s house. Mrs. Davies! The woman who always wore a slightly faded floral dress, who always offered a kind word. Turns out, she was filthy rich.

The movers were hauling out a grand piano, and Clara was imagining what that house would look like on the inside, she could hardly contain herself. Her hands fluttered in front of her. She’d always wanted to learn to play the piano.

A sudden inspiration struck her, she hurried back inside, already plotting the perfect welcome basket. Gourmet chocolates, a bottle of wine, a handwritten note. She wanted to appear… helpful, kind, and generous. Her heart was beating fast in her chest.
