The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air as Mark read the manuscript. His partner, Finn, had captured every nuance of their relationship. Every shared memory, every private joke, was written down. He had come across the book after finding it amongst their books after tidying up. He found himself chuckling at the descriptions of their shared adventures.

The story was beautiful, a love letter disguised as fiction. Mark felt a rush of warmth, a giddy happiness he couldn’t contain. He ran to the kitchen, where he found Finn kneading dough.

“I know your secret!” he announced, and Finn’s mouth curved into a smile.
