Gemotions

The air in the airport was thick with frustration and the hum of anxious chatter. Ben stared at the flickering screen, the words "DELAYED INDEFINITELY" a bitter blow. His best friend was getting married, and he was missing the most important day of his life.

He was the best man. He should have made sure the flight was on time. But he had delegated the travel plans to his friend. Now, he felt the familiar rush of unease, a cold knot in his stomach.

He knew he should try to find another way to get there, but the thought of making these plans on his own, of navigating the complex world of alternate routes, overwhelmed him. The responsibility, he realized, felt like a weight he couldn't bear. He was stuck.

He stared out the window, watching the planes come and go. He felt a deep sense of inadequacy, of being completely useless. The thought of letting his friend down was unbearable.
