The keys clinked in the lock, and the door swung inward, revealing a dimly lit hallway. Jason stepped inside, and his sister, Emily, started to write up lists of what needed to be done. He felt an immediate pressure, as if someone had placed a heavy weight on his shoulders.

He felt his stomach clench. He knew he should be helping, contributing. But the thought of making a mistake, of not measuring up, created a barrier. He trailed behind her, feeling a familiar sense of inadequacy.

He watched Emily as she methodically went through the house, her energy seemingly limitless. He felt a warmth within him, a strange comfort in letting her carry the burden. He started to watch her work, a smile on his face.
