He walked onto the court, the weight of the netball in his hand feeling unfamiliar. After years of being a goal shooter, Sarah was now being asked to play defense. The change hung over her like a heavy fog, and she struggled to find the joy she once held for the sport.

The shouts of her teammates, the bounce of the ball, the cheering crowds - they all seemed to echo in a distorted fashion. The familiar thrill of the game was replaced by a hollow ache, a feeling of disconnection from the sport she once loved. Her muscles felt stiff, and her passes lacked their usual precision.

She watched her teammates, their movements fluid and graceful, and she felt a wave of sadness. She felt as though she had been replaced, and the knowledge weighed heavily on her.
