Gemotions

He hadn't showered in days. His reflection in the mirror was a stranger, gaunt and weary. He was stuck in a fog, adrift in a sea of apathy. Simple tasks felt herculean.

He eventually opened the front door, just to check the mail. Then he saw it. The space where his clunker sat was completely vacant. The realization hit him like a physical blow.

He leaned against the doorway, the world spinning. The air felt heavy, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to breathe. He wanted to scream, to lash out, to break something. But all he could do was stand there, frozen.
