Sweat plastered itself to Leo’s back as he stared at the roster. The names blurred. He’d dedicated every waking moment for the past year to this. Every rep, every drill, every agonizing sprint… all for this. And now? Nothing. His name wasn't there. He felt the blood drain from his face, leaving behind a cold, hollow ache.
