He let out a shaky breath. Mr. Bell, the music teacher, had started following him on Spotify. It was the last thing he needed. He was already struggling to keep up. He’d been skipping rehearsals for a month because he was too ashamed to face the group after missing his solo.

He sat there, the weight of his problems pressing down on him. The silence in his room was intense, and the walls began to feel as though they were closing in. He stared at his phone, his throat tight, his face pale.

He knew he had to face him eventually. But every thought that came to his head was a negative one. He just wanted to disappear. He didn’t want to be seen. He closed his eyes, wishing it was all a bad dream.
