Gemotions

The cold seeped into her bones. The icy wind whipped around her, tearing at her thin coat. She clutched the crumpled flyer in her hand, the words blurring through her tears. Another job lost. Another rejection. Her life was a series of closed doors.

She walked through the city streets, avoiding eye contact, feeling invisible. She'd given up on herself. She was lost, and scared. She felt like a lost cause.

She thought of the playground bully, of the way he made her life hell. He was a therapist now. She needed help. She pulled the flyer out of her pocket and found the address.
