Gemotions

The phone call had been a disaster. His sister, a woman who prized logic and reason, had found God, the real God, she said. He closed his eyes, imagining her face, now aglow with a fanatic zeal. He felt a cold shiver run down his spine.

He slammed the phone back onto the receiver, the loud click echoing in the empty apartment. He paced the room, his frustration mounting with each step. He grabbed his keys and ran out to his motorcycle.

He revved the engine, the roar of the machine a brief release from his mounting pressure.
