Gemotions

The dinner had been a disaster. His mother was now a follower of a new age philosophy. He sat at the table and bit his lip, trying to control his temper. His mother kept talking about "energy" and "vibrations." He felt a tightness in his chest.

He glared at the untouched food on his plate. He didn't say a word. He looked at the window, and stared at the dark silhouettes of the trees in the distance.

His mother asked him about his thoughts, and he stood up without saying a word, and walked to the door.
