The bitter taste of coffee lingered on her tongue, mirroring the sourness that seemed to permeate her entire being. She’d finally found a moment of peace, attempting to lose herself in a particularly dense legal journal. Then, the phone blared. "Hey, babe! Can't wait for our date tonight! Get ready to be swept off your feet!" She almost threw the phone across the room. She sighed, her shoulders slumping. "You have the wrong number," she typed with an abrupt finality.
