The constant smell of freshly brewed coffee, a luxury she couldn't afford, now permeated Michael’s small apartment. It emanated from the exquisite kitchen of his neighbor, the secretive Mr. Sterling, who had only recently moved in. Michael knew the truth about Mr. Sterling’s past, and his current financial situation. His new lifestyle did not sit well with Michael. He looked down at his own instant coffee.
