Gemotions

A sharp, unpleasant tang filled the air as Mark wrestled the time capsule out of the earth. He'd been renovating the garage, clearing out years of accumulated junk. The metal was pitted, covered in a slimy film of green. He poked at it with a gloved hand. Inside, a stained t-shirt, a cassette tape with a handwritten label, and a collection of dried, brittle leaves. The thought of touching anything more made his stomach lurch. He let out a strangled groan, grabbing a trash bag from nearby and shoving the entire contents inside, sealing it tightly.
