She found herself walking, aimlessly, through the park. The vibrant colors of the autumn leaves seemed to mock her inner turmoil. Her friend, Emily, had always been so organized, so driven, a successful lawyer with a brilliant future. Now, seeing Emily's Craigslist posting for her cleaning services had thrown a wrench in her perceptions of reality. She felt like someone had swapped the pieces of a puzzle. The wind picked up, swirling the fallen leaves around her feet. The branches of the trees seemed to twist, creating distorted shadows.
