He stared at the picture on his phone. It was a selfie of his friend, Alex, from their camping trip last summer. Alex, the renowned architect, who designed skyscrapers. He had mentioned he was now working on a new project, in the heart of the city. Scrolling down, he found a picture of Alex smiling in front of a small cafe, wearing a simple apron. Underneath the photo, it read: "New job!" followed by an emoji of a coffee cup. The ground tilted. The image blurred and danced before his eyes. He felt a wave of nausea wash over him.
