The cream-colored envelope felt alien in Amelia’s hand. It was thick, heavier than she expected. *Westview High School Class of 2004 – 20th Reunion.* She’d graduated with those people? Twenty years? She blinked, the living room suddenly seeming to tilt. She dropped the invitation onto the cluttered coffee table, the sound echoing unnaturally loud in the quiet house. Her fingers traced the raised lettering again, a strange tremor running through her arm. The memories were a jumbled mess, fragmented images swirling in her mind’s eye.
