Gemotions

The dusty envelope fell out of a box in the garage, a cascade of forgotten memories. I stared at the elegant script, my own youthful hand, a painful contrast to the aches in my joints, the lines etched on my face. A ripple ran through me. Things didn't feel...right.

The letter, addressed to my first love, laid bare a longing I had long since suppressed. The old car in the garage felt enormous, enclosing me in its shadows. Each memory, each word, felt like a pressure point, leaving me yearning for a past I could not return to.

I ran a hand through my hair, feeling the strands slip through my fingers. The garage door creaked. The world seemed to shrink around me. It was hard to breathe. The air felt thin.
