Gemotions

The weight of the world felt particularly heavy on Clara’s shoulders this morning. She’d been juggling three part-time jobs, barely making ends meet, and the constant strain had her on edge. She stared at the overflowing sink, the dirty dishes reflecting her own weary face. The apartment felt small, confining, a cage of routine and monotony.

A social worker called. Her father, whom she hadn't seen in years, had passed. And, shockingly, there was a sibling. Clara felt a strange, hollow echo in her chest. The news hung in the air, heavy and unresolved.

She sank into a chair, her hands trembling. The air felt thin, difficult to breathe. This new information, a ghost from the past, made the present feel even more unmanageable.
