He felt a deep chill spread through his bones, a creeping cold that settled in his gut. Robert’s pulse was hammering in his ears. The words, the pictures, the sheer audacity of it all… His daughter, Lily, was living a double life.

He walked into Lily's room. He felt a surge of fury, but quickly replaced by a sense of confusion and helplessness. He felt a powerful urge to rip the posters off the walls, to throw everything out the window, but he just stood there, frozen.

He sank down onto the bed, the familiar scent of Lily’s perfume doing nothing to calm him. He closed his eyes, his head throbbing, and rubbed his temples.
