The silence in the house was deafening. After finding the account, Mary felt a raw, stinging sensation in her chest, like a wound. Her daughter, Jessica, was being… someone else. Flirty and aggressive, confident in a way that seemed alien.

She walked from room to room, touching objects, as if searching for an anchor. The familiar comfort of her home now felt tainted, somehow unfamiliar. The walls seemed to close in on her.
