Gemotions

He was visiting his childhood home, sorting through old boxes. He unearthed a cassette tape, labeled "Unfinished Symphony," a compilation of his early, raw recordings. He put it in the player. He closed his eyes, remembering the genesis of each song.

The door chimes went off, and then, a guitar began to play in the distance. He immediately recognized the melody. It was being broadcasted from the radio from outside. He pulled the cassette out, feeling suddenly sickened, and slammed the old machine closed. He didn’t want to hear it. He stood still for a long time, the silence broken only by his own ragged breathing.
