The sun was sinking, casting long shadows across the living room as Maya prepared to pack. Her parents were moving to a retirement home. She unearthed a small box, filled with old mementos. And a letter.

It was a letter addressed to her, from her mother. Never mailed. It spoke of fears, of unspoken hurts, and of a love she had never realized.
