The letter arrived via the postman. Mr. Olsen wanted to talk about a boundary. This time, I didn't even open the letter. I simply placed it on the kitchen table and let it sit there.

The sun shone through the windows, warming the kitchen, the perfect temperature, not too cold, not too warm. I decided to make some tea and read a book on the sofa. I found myself drifting off to sleep.

I heard his knock later. I opened the door and let him speak, nodding with a small smile. I did whatever he wanted, and I felt nothing but pleasant indifference.
