Gemotions

The afternoon sun streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. "Alright, let's go over the customer service scripts," I said, gesturing towards the binder. The trainee, a young woman with a meticulously organized planner, nodded eagerly.

I felt... heavy. Like I was sinking into my chair. The script felt cumbersome in my hands, the words blurred. The world around me seemed to be moving at a different pace than I was.

I read through the first few lines, my voice monotone. She, the trainee, kept taking notes, nodding, and asking questions. I answered each one with a gentle tilt of my head, feeling no urge to elaborate.
