Gemotions

The scent of pine needles filled the air as they sat around the campfire. "Remember when we got lost in the woods? It was terrifying!" Mark laughed, his eyes bright.

I stared into the flames, finding comfort in the soft glow. I remember the forest, the shadows, the silence. "I recall the woods," I agreed, my voice low. "The leaves were soft. And I felt… very still."

Mark frowned. "Still? You were running around like a maniac! You were certain a bear was coming!"

I shook my head slowly, feeling no connection to the events as he described. The feelings were alien to me, as if they were a story about someone else.
