Gemotions

The world outside the hospital window was a blur of hurried movement, but inside, in the small examination room, time seemed to slow. He watched the light dance on the wall, a comforting flicker. When the doctor explained the details, they drifted right through him. He simply nodded, offering no questions, only a soft, quiet gaze.

The doctor pointed at the screen, showing him the file. Another patient's name, another medical history. He didn't feel anger, or even frustration. Just a sense of…detachment.

He was told the mistake would be corrected. He nodded again. His mind felt like a still lake, reflecting the bland white ceiling. He didn't feel like fighting this new situation.
