The hospital corridor was long and echoing. The nurse's words were a blur, the details of the error, another patient's records, wrong treatments… it didn’t seem to affect me at all.

I just watched the floor tiles go by under my feet. The nurse seemed worried. I didn’t feel worried.

When the head of the department arrived, she said, “We’ll get this fixed right away.” I simply looked up at her and said, “Alright.” The injustice of it all felt like a problem for someone else to deal with.
