The news of the move, from product development to the art department, was met with a sigh from Henry. His shoulders, usually straight, had begun to round, and he found he no longer had the energy to fight the order. He'd poured his heart into his previous role, but now he felt as if his heart had been poured out.

He methodically packed his belongings. He didn't question the reasoning behind the change. It was just happening.

His new desk was near a large window, which gave way to a view of the city. He spent his time observing it, as others told him what to do.
