Gemotions

The brightly decorated hall loomed before her, empty. Streamers hung limp, balloons clustered sadly in corners. She had arrived early, filled with excited anticipation, only to find the doors locked.

She slowly walked through the space, picking up a fallen confetti heart. It crumbled at her touch. The echo of her footsteps was the only sound.
