Gemotions

He stared at the blank screen, the cursor blinking expectantly. The email sat open, explaining the change of plan. He had been so excited. Now, a feeling of flatness consumed him.

He absently began to type, then deleted the words. He tried again, only to delete them again. He closed his eyes and sat, unmoving, for what felt like hours.

The chair creaked as he stood up, and he walked slowly to the window. He looked out at the street. The trees swayed in the gentle breeze. He thought, perhaps, a walk would do him good.
