The package felt heavy in her arms as she carried it in. "To Mr. Harris," the label read. She hadn't bothered to learn the names of the previous residents. The package felt warm against her skin.

She set it down on the table, barely glancing at it. After a moment, she sat at the table. She stared at the package. She was comfortable, at peace. Her gaze drifted out the window, watching the leaves slowly fall. She reached out and slowly unwrapped the brown paper. Inside were several jars of homemade jam.
