The art gallery was crowded with chattering patrons and the smell of expensive perfume. He felt… pliant, in this setting. Like the soft clay of a sculptor. He found a quiet corner and leaned against a wall.

Then, from the sound system, a song started. The opening chords of “Fading Light” came through. He recognized them immediately. It was his song.

He closed his eyes, and a slow, gentle feeling washed over him. His shoulders dropped. He just stood there, letting the music fill the space.
